Two times in less than 5 months. First my brakes lock up on me sending me into a guardrail now i have some idiot who failed to yield the right away. Honestly I dont know if i can keep this car any longer. here are the pics
at my house after being towed
I can't imagine how I'd react if I bent/cracked my vette.
#1 son "borrowed" my wifes Saab 9-5 aero and someone hit it. Not his fault according to the police report. I'm amazed at how calm I'm taking it. I just told him to take care of all the insurance BS.
wonder how it would go if someone hit my Z???????????????????
I feel your pain, but it wasn't your fault right? then there was nothing you could have done about it. It would have happened no matter what car you were in.
i just realized that the drivers side wheel is the same as the passenger side. the whoela xle is shot. it goes inward just like the passenger side. wasnt my fautl. we exchaned info and when i told him to move out of the street and pull into the adjacent street beacuse i was going to call the cops, he took off. And, i want ot get rid of it to start saving some extra cash.
wait, he took off after you said you were calling the cops... I'm not 100% sure but I think leaving the sceen of an accident is a crime and you can get in big trouble for it.
you sure he gave you the correct ins. info?
I would have called the cops FO SURE and made sure they did an accident report at a min. and hopefully give him some reckless driving tickets.
if you plan to report this to his ins. co I sure hope you have more proof then just your story because it will be his word against yours.
Jake,
whats the latest on that idiot leaving the scene ??
did you get correct info on him ?
what did the cops say after you called them?
pics look bad but should look better than before after work is done.
sorry brother,

.. That would equate to a Heart Attack if it happened to me. Sorry about your troubles, maybe is time to let it go and look for something new.. Good luck..

The police filed a hit and run report, even though he gave me the info. I called his insurnace and its all correct. He called me while my car was being towed and asked what the porblem was, i told him that i called the cops and he never showed up when he was called by both myself and the officer. He said he had to go home to change his tire, i was like, i have to get my car towed. I have already filed the claim with his insurance and will be following up with them when i get off work because i need a rental.
I feel for you. I took a defensive driving course with my 16 year old and learned a lot about how to control the car in emergencies and how to watch other cars on the road and anticipate stupid drivers dumb moves. Collision avoidance is key to everyday driving.
Cell phone users and the elderly are very unpredictable, I've learned to anticipate their next move before they do.
