I tried. I really tried. I invested some healthy money into parts, spent a TON of time planning, mapping, creating, and recreating. In the end, it just didn't happen.

I had a -4an kit installed on a 97 today, but it was unfortunately one thing after another. First the fitting at the abs pump leaked, but that was the easy one. Bled the brakes, and as we're getting ready to test it, I notice a puddle. One of the AN fittings SNAPPED. Then I notice another one had loosened. The snapped fitting I chalk up to me because of wanting to keep costs down (could have gone more expensive on that fitting), but the one loosening up was a product of a distinct lack of space to work. That ABS pump is so tight in the rear of the car that there's really not a lot that can be done in such a tight space. I thought about just making another line really quickly, but decided to just pull everything off the car a

I may give this another shot with hard lines as time allows. Looking at it, the hard lines would be much easier to seal, but space constraints are still an issue. If it does happen, I will say this: The installation will NOT be for the faint of heart. I consider myself to be quite mechanically adept, but this was a PITA today.

Case closed for the time being, for me at least. Give me a couple weeks to collect myself and I'll reengage with hard lines and see what happens.

Damn, Sean. So sorry to hear that. I've had a few personal matters come up since you and I last spoke and I apologize for not getting back with you as soon as I should have.

Hang in there. I'm confident you will get it figured out soon.

Please keep us up to date. I still believe you are on the right tract for this product.

I just have to take a step back for a little while on this one. I am pretty discouraged right now because of how it ended up after all the time and effort I invested.

I've already been racking my brains, but my biggest stopping point is the sheer lack of space to work with. Someone familiar with what's back there might not have a difficult time, but for an amateurish installer, they'd be in for a terrible surprise upon going to do the installation. I'm trying to find the least invasive and most user friendly means possible that can be mass marketed at a reasonable price.

I'm going to keep on it. I pretty much have my buddies 97 at my disposal
