Pretty sweet!
My sister is a professional photog and I bought my wife a Canon Rebel DSLR for Christmas so I've started playing more with the shots I get more so here lately. I like to think it's all a learning process each time I do a new collage/pic since most all of the program experience with doing the edits/pics has been self taught. (with some great guidance from others' input as well as inspiration drawn from seeing other folks great work like yours ) It's neat also to look back at the older stuff and see the progression compared to the new stuff.
Here are a few pics of some of my stuff I've done. Any input you may have is more than welcome!!! (a couple of these pics were some of the older stuff I did or didn't have a great pic of the car to work from so they didn't turn out as well as they could have.) http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f2...t=3d327c45.pbw
I feel the same way you do, when I start to put a collage together I'm wondering how can I make this one wow the viewer & want to see more. And like you I'm self taught, & I'm almost deaf, so taking a college course is out of the question, I would not be able to hear the instructor & would disrupt a class asking for repeats. But then again some of my old stuff, people, weddings, scenics are pretty nice, I didn't have the knowledge then to "know" what was right and that I couldn't do this or that. I just did it & a lot of them turned out great. Now it seem's like every time I take a shot, I'm 2nd guessing myself on exposure, angle, etc.
I looked at your link & you have nothing to apologize about, your images are very good & there are a couple that are just great. Post up here for the folks to see. I don't have any input for you other than positive. I like what you showed me & don't have anything negative to say, because negatives are just opinion's & in my opinion you are doing quite a bit right. Post 'em up & let these other folk's see what you've come up with. This is all entertainment, none of us is being graded for a pass or fail, if people don't want to see them, they'll click on another link. I like your shots & you have already given me a couple of idea's.
Thanks! I try and take all input as constructive and never look at it as negative if I can take something from it! I think I'm my harshest critic anyways, lol. Yeah, some of those in the slide show were some of the first ones I ever attempted and there were some that the owner didn't have any hi-res pics to work from so I know those don't fall into the great category, lol.
I'm not a big fan of C4's, but I really like the image about the Legend Living On, that's a really nice one. Very simple & eye/mind catching & the Heart In Frisco. I like simple images that catch your eye. I think you're doing great & I like the "Wombat Motors" too.Jack

Yeah, I try not to go too overboard unless there is just a lot of stuff that is wanted to be added in by the owner of the car I'm doing the pic for. It's too easy to get carried away and loose the main focus of the pic which is the car. Everything needs to compliment the ride, not draw attention from it. That and I try to bever repeat a pic when doing a new one. That way everyone has something original!
I did the Legend Lives On pic to send to Hutch and the folks over at the GS Registry to use as a wallpaper for whoever wanted to. The Grand Sport has always been a favorite of mine!
Nice pics! I love the color/black and white stuff. I've just recently started dabbling in that after getting the new camera. You can do some great looking stuff with playing with the mask layers. Here are two that were done with two shots my sister did of my Vette.
Yep......those are very nice, indeed. Give my compliments to your friend & I like the shot of the top going down also. Make sure you post the pics of the new image w/the Z, I would like to see it.
Finally got the print of the C6Z...Im not wild about the way the hood turned out in the one pic...but the pics had to be taken on a cloudy day..and the reflection on the hood looks like bad paint....Other than that, Im happy with it....He also redid the N-CROWD print to include the C6Z and the black C5 Vert since I sold the silver car...
Here's the C6Z print...
Here's the updated N-CROWD print...
Here's the old N-CROWD print...
