I know this is early to ask, but I am just wondering. If I get a C5 Z06 stock, what are some basic power upgrades. I know exhaust, intake, and cam. Sorry if this question seems dumb, but I
am new to the domestic world.
Intake/Exhaust are basic (bolt on) upgrades... a cam is not a basic upgrade. Long Tube headers are another bolt on that should be on your list, it will require a tune to get the most benefit from them.
If you got a C5 Z06, I would get used to the 405 hp first before trying to get more power out of it.
Yea, agree, you may want to get a "feel" for the power of the stock Z06 before adding mod's "power upgrades to the powertrain, you may just enjoy the awsome power...... Enjoy

Hell yeah dude, get used to the power first, its extremely easy for these cars to get away from you. But as for the bolt ons, intake(FAST intake, Vararam, throttle body), exhaust(headers, hi-flow cats, x-pipe, mufflers) underdriver pulleys, shifter and then a tune. Oh yeah, i heard from a cavalier owner if you put racing stripes on it, itll ad like 45-50 hp...

I agree with the other's get a feel for it stock before diving in.
Heads is another upgrade as well but, they're pricey.A good idea is to have a set target as to what kind of horsepower you're looking for and go from there. Many of the supporting tuners on this forum would be able to give you some invaluable advice as to what you would like to see your car achieve, and the parts needed to get there.
Good Luck
