Cockpit insulation FYI
Over the weekend I installed some Reflectix insulation in my cockpit pretty much everywhere I could put it. Very easy to install just be sure to have a couple of sharp blades. Anyway, while on my test drive last night I noticed my parking brake light would not go out. This just shows how much of a dumba$$ i can be. The ebrake, when fully disengaged, causes a swith to produce an open in the circuit which removes the ground from the parking brake light. The Reflectix was touching both swith terminals grounding the switch and the circuit thus leaving the parking brake light on(that's the dumba$$ part). All that being said, I loosened the ebrake bolts, slid a piece of cardboard behind the switch, and bingo. It's always nice when the fixin' takes less time than the thinkin'! Unless you sweat while you think, then you have other problems.
