Hi guys, i posted this in the C5 general also, so don't shoot me.
I like the Z06 performance, but want a coupe. So do you get a coupe and add stuff that probably would
void the drive train warranty, or do you get a Z06 and mod the roof. This could void some warranty too,
but not the engine or trans i wouldn't think, hopefully. Any ideas would be appreciated.
The problem with modding the roof on a z06 is that you might get a leak or rattles if not done right. I know of a forum member that "targa topped" his red Z06, look great.
If you mod a coupe with mild heads and cam from a reputable tuner, the dealer would have to take the engine apart to know it was hopped up.
You need to drive both first, they are Very different cars.

Once you've done this you should be able to make the choice yourself.
