What Jack do you carry
OK, the run craps are going. My question is: what type of jack is available thats compact enough to carry , and low enough to get under the car if there is a flat??? Pictures and prices please.
Nissan, the rotating rectangular head fits in the ovals in the rocker panels where the jacking pucks go - no jacking pucks needed.
I bought a set identical to this ebay auction, and use the tire stopping ramps for piece of mind. I have been using the jack for 8 years (to lift the front of the car high enough to get a floor jack with 2x4 under her to lift it). I don't own jacking pucks or runflats. I bought a Mercedes lug wrench to unbolt the lugs (the Nissan one does not fit Vette lugs - but can be used as a weapon). While you are at it, you will need a shower curtain, hand wipes/bottles of water, nail plug kit, flash light, and tire air compressor - now you are ready for a repair in the field. At least you can say you are prepared, but when it comes down to it, I'll probably use my cell phone and road side assistance through my insurance company.

I believe my moms, Acura RL's jack worked as well (fit in the ovals), but did not have a rotating head like the Nissans. (Nissan = Acura)
good luck

While some would argue it might not collapse down low enough and prefer a credit card, cell phone and AAA...I found an all aluminum scissors jack from a MAZDA RX7. They also came in Porsche cars.
It's very lightweight and very strong. It collapses to about 3.5". I have an oem Z06 compressor and tire plugs so unless it's a catastrophic tire failure, would inflate the (non run-flat) tire enough if more clearance is needed or to plug the tire.
I found it on EBAY for less than $50 with shipping. There's one on EBAY now.
This is not mine, but it's the same type w/o the round nubbie at the top...

I have a scissors jack that came out of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. The lug wrench also came from there.
Daniels... Jack Daniels. J/K. I have to say I have non-run flats and a Z06 kit in my trunk, but if it came down to it, I'm using the cellie and the AAA card with unlimited towing.
