[Z06] Mirror Is Squeaking!! How Do I Stop This??

Mirror Is Squeaking!! How Do I Stop This??
I just noticed this happening last night coming home from working on my 70. I had the windows down, radio off and was enjoying the cooler weather we are having in East Tennessee when I noticed the noise. I rolled the windows up and isolated the noise to the rear view mirror. I can squeeze the mirror and the noise goes away completely. There has to be a way to keep this noise away.
Has anyone ran into this noise before and what did you do to keep it in check besides turning the radio up?

Nice cool weather we are having isn't it?
Mirror.... I am having a long day and I am assuming the inside mirror attached to the WS. I would take it off the mount and re-attach and see if it goes away, maybe a touch of lubricant would make the sound go away.
Let us know what you find.

It is in the plastic part of the inside rear view mirror. If I squeeze the mirror as if I were putting the two plastic halves of the mirror together, it goes away.

I accept the fact that it is an older car. My 70 is an old car and the mirror on it does not squeak. The mirror on the Z just started making this noise in the last week or so. This morning it was particularly loud and annoying. I just wish the mirror would come off the window easy, I would take the body of the mirror apart and do something about the noise, similar maybe to the BOSE on the speaker grills.
