My power locks are engaging by themselves. For instance. I get out of the car, Close my door, and just stand there. A few moments later my door locks activate ( unlock ) the door by themselves. I do nothing. Then, I hit my remote lock with the fob. Wait a few moments and the doors unlock. The car will do this every few minutes. Every time it " unlocks " the doors the interior lights come on. And yes it kills my battery after a day and a half.
Has this happened to anyone ( hopefully so I can get a line on the problem )?
This has been happening over the last 2 weeks. I have been wondering why my battery would be dead after sitting over the weekend but I just noticed this problem a couple of days ago. Battery is about 2 years old.
According to his profile he does not have a C5. But anyhow...make sure the passive switch if off on all (spares included) of you key fobs. Mine would lock & unlock with the keys hanging in the house.
I also did a test where I left the keys in the house, Locked the doors with the lock button on the door. Closed the door and waited a few minutes and sure enough it unlocked.
I slid the passive from off to on to off on both. We'll see what that does.
If you recently changed the battery in the FOB, the passive feature could be on even though the switch was in the off position. Cycling the switch as you did should sync it back up.
