[Z06] Help me lower my Z06
I've read the DIY links but I guess I'm doing something wrong.
1st some terms so we are on the same page,
1) The long adjuster bolt (LAB), one end is 18mm and faces the ground, the other is 10mm and points skyward. In between from the 18mm end: a washer, rubber bushing, washer, nut, c-clip.
My problems start with the instructions that say, not only the bolt head is 18mm, but so is the nut. Not on my car. The nut is at least 21mm.
Next, how difficult is it to turn the 18mm head while holding the nut? I'm using a ton of torque but nothing budges (clockwise or counter clockwise). Actually I can make a little progress if I turn the 18mm head clock-wise, but then the instructions say to turn it counter-clockwise so I'm confused.
The instructions say, you turn the 18mm head clockwise. That seems counter-intuitive because normally to loosen a nut on a bolt you turn the head counter-clockwise. Is the LAB a reverse thread bolt?
Thanks for any help?
Oh, I've got the the rear end on jack stands, should it be on the ground or on ramps to relieve some pressure on the spring?
Help!
Thanks,

I put a 21mm long socket over the nut, then used an air gun to turn the 18mm bolt-head COUNTER-CLOCKWISE (normal: righty-tighty, lefty, loosey).
That worked!
