i just purchase a 2001 vette and every time i start it up -service column lock-indicator lgt comes on ,does this mean that the car needs servicing,also at $7 a qt is anyone using any other oil than moble 1 synethic oil

$7 dollars a quart is too high just for Mobil1 I pay a little less than
that for Royal Purple.
The column lock issue will need to be addressed by either a tech
or going with the CLB,or better yet,both.Even still,the CLB is not
guaranteed 100% either.
