I am new to the forum and was suprised that there is no mention of the Bloomington Gold show this weekend. I plan on attending and whould like to here some oppinions about it.
It's a great show, but it's gonna be hot again Be sure to take tons of money and all your credit cards with you. Stay away from the Ibiz vendor. Ask me how I know. If you're looking for a bridge he's selling one. Most of all take a good camera, sun screen, and have a great time. We're heading up tomorrow. David
A great experience, and a lot of fun. Depending on what you are looking for/need, its not that expensive (I got a GREAT deal on my Borla and installed by the Borla reps). The GoldTour rocks...you can have some fun and actually experience what your C5 can do on the road in "somewhat" of a controlled environment without worries of LEO. I'm meeting a few other at Mickey D's in Mequon (North of Milwaukee) at 0700 Saturday to make a full day of it. Anyone around that area looking to hook up for a ride down, the more the merrier!

Lots of beautiful Vettes, tons of new and used parts and plenty of vendors there just waiting to take some of your money . It's a fun time and at a great location. It is usually hot so bring plenty of refreshments. I've always enjoyed the show, but just won't be able to make it this year.
THanks for all the information. I have actually been to the show three times, Once when it was in Bloomington and then the first year it moved to St Charles. I only live about ten miles from Pheasant Run. I have owned in the past Two 59's a 71 and a 79 L-82. I am now in the market for a 2003 Anniversary Red Convertible.
As a golfer I can not understand how they allow cars to be parked and driven on a golf course. Having it in Bloomington was great but having it tem miles from my house is much better.

It is a great show weekend and the next fun weekend is in August in Carlisle. All these car wax reps have a story that is more like snake oil. Great time and enjoy.
I must say that Thursday is NOT the best day to attend. My son and I flew up to DuPage today for the show and it SUCKED! At least 1/3rd of the vendors were not set up as of 12:30pm, so we left early. If you advertise the show as starting at 7am thursday, then they should require the vendors be setup and ready on time! Unfortunately for them my wallet left just as fat as when I showed up. Oh well, at least I got to fly!
Been going since 03. But not going this year. Pretty much the same every year and most of the cars on the lot are from dealers. Never been to see the auction though which a couple of my friends said was very good and couldn't attent the vette parade that they do on the weekend. Maybe I'll join the Vette parade next year.
