[Z06] "Security" light stays on

We'll I tried Bill Curlee's ignition switch repair procedure with no improvement. This damn Z06 is starting remind me of my dads POS '76 Chevette.

I guess the ohm resistor bypass cure is next.

You are shooting in the dark at the problem. Dump the codes and the car will tell you what the problem is .... I posted earlier how to display the codes.

I had the same problem for approx. 2 weeks with my 04 Zo6.
I went back to the dealership and they replaced the ignition lock cylinder.No more Problems!
