Default Topic Question

OK, I'm confused. Why is it ok to have a topic "Anyone get flipped off by hybrid drivers??" and not " Ticket Hypermilers!!!" in the C5 General Discussion? Seems to my little brain that either both are allowed or both are off topic. I'm not trying to be difficult, I just want to understand the inconsistence.

Although I'm not big Kahuna... I would just guess one mentioned C5's and the other did not? I couldn't find the other post. Either way the section is C5 General, and those other posts should be placed in Off Topic, rather than here.

Sometimes they let posts that are marginal stay if they don't get out of hand, other times it gets moved or closed. I think pretty much up to the mod, as to what the call is.

Lately, it seems that C5 General has become another OT forum with many of the topics being posted.
The moderators don't seem to be moving things to other forums...unless a member notifies them first.

Default it "off topic" now

The Post "Ticket Hypermilers" is in the "Off Topic" forum now ("forums" is at the top left of the page). I just saw it and man did it get a lot of hits in a short time. The post does mention C5, but is mainly about the traffic jams and possible accidents caused be people who hypermile in large cities during rush hour. Seems like a lot of people have the same view! cops have no problem giving speeding tickets because that is unsafe driving, but what about the hypermilers during rush hour?

Due to most of us having jobs and only scan titles. That is why there is a report post button.

We try to catch them, but no way we can open and read every thread.
