Wiper issues?
NOW..... a couple days ago I went to the same car wash and did the same dumb a$$ thing. BUT this time I just happened to have my Diablo Predator programmer plugged in. The same thing happened AGAIN but this time it TOASTED the programmer too!
I went directly to the performance shop where my youngest son works and the guys there told me that the wiper motor is a common problem in these cars. My son and the other technicians suggested that the 'under car wash' might be the culprit. Have any of you seen this problem??
The good news is that the shop is a DiabloSport dealer and is going to send the programmer in for repair.
Thanks for any input on this.
Ken

Sorry about your issues, hopefully someone can help you out.

Check threads on forum to give you lots of information
Probably getting all the grounds soaked and shorting out things 'til they dry out.
As for the wipers, sounds like you need to clean your udders out, so that water can drain properly. They get clogged with crud, and water puddles up around the wiper motor, causing it to go haywire until it dries out again. Pull the wiper arms off(battery terminal puller is awesome for this) take the cowel cover off, remove the wiper arm transmission from the motor, remove the motor. Under the motor you'll see the udders. Look on the passenger side, you'll see them easily, as there isn't anything blocking them.
Clean the udders out, and re-install everything. Remember to mark where the transmission indexes to the motor so you can but it back on properly. Sounds like a lot of work, but only really takes about a half hour.
While you have the motor out, take it apart and see if there is any water in it. If there is, get you a rebuilt one from Autozone. They're only about 30 bucks. Peace of mind that you won't have to pull everything out again.
Although "Serves you right for not hand washing it." seems a bit harsh to me, I still appreciate the help as always.
Thanks,
Ken
I'll come help you if you're buying the beer! hahahaha
The good news is, I didn't toast anything more than my programmer!
Have fun.
