Default insurance rate increase

As a future C5 owner I was curious as to how much of an insurance increase I can expect.

It depends what you are comming from, I sold my 2004 GTP SC and bought my 2002 Coupe and my insurance went up about 9 bucks a month. Just call your agent, He will tell you.

Depends on your age, state where you live,full-coverage or liability, driving record,etc.,etc.

Best thing to do is call your insurance for a quote before you

I am 23 yrs old... I pay more for my ford ZX2 than the the Z06!!!

I am under the Ford and my wife is under the Z though.... If you are young and male... Insurance is not always cheap...

My insurance dropped from $1,800 for my 99 WS6 by its self to $1200 a year for the C5, wrangler, and saturn for my wife and I. That's at 500 comp and collision....Needless to say I was pretty happy.

That's too funny. I sold my 2004 GTP also to buy my C5. My insurance hardly went up at all but then I'm in my 50's.

I feel better about getting one now. I had heard horror stories about rates doubling or even tripling. I will be 52 on July 3rd, have spotless driving record, and multiple vehicles including a Harley. Hopefully having a 17 yr. old Son driving won't effect my rates. Thanks for the feedback folks.

Yep, mine slightly increased $10/month.

I pay $85.50/month for 3 vehicles, $100k bodily injury, 300k accident, 100k Prop. Damage, $250 Collision ded. and 100 Comp. ded.

2002 Jeep Wrangler
2000 GMC Sonoma
2004 Corvette Coupe

Still not too bad, and thats with 3 people being on the policy

when I went from a 98 T/A to the Vette my premium went down. I was amazed! multi line, multi car, accident free, and squeeky clean (knock on wood) record helps. being with the same agency for 40+ years don't hurt

You might be surprised just how affordable insurance is on a C5. Mine was very reasonable.

My insurance essentially doubled when I added the Vette Convertible to my policy covering a Ford Explorer and a Honda Motorcycle. No one else but me on the policy.

For all three I pay ~$55 a month with USAA for all three vehicles.

I have standard coverage(100/300/50) with a $1000 deductible.

So, the Vette Vert cost me an additional $24 a month.

I was very surprised when I called my agent to add in my Vette last year. My Vettes insurance is just a couple of $$ more then my 04 Explorer and $75 less then my my wifes 02 Intrepid RT.
