Ok, So I have the Ecklers knock off MCM hood. Like the MCM it has two large areas on the underside of the hood that are unfinished and of course the factory hood liner will not work with the hood. So I had a guy make me two pieces to cover the two sections, and I will have then chromed plated. I have sceen these kits for factory hoods in Mid America,but they are Stainless and I dont like hoe stainless scratches, so do you think I will have any problems with the chrome from heat or anything else? Should I have them cleared when the hood gets painted?

As long as you keep the chrome clean and waxed, I don't know why you would have any problems. The heat should not affect it - lots of people run chrome pieces on their engine and they sure look good.
