I need to find the best way to locate it. Is it in the fender well access or do I have to look under the car. I had water in the passenger side and need to fix this ASAP. (no rain so I do know that it's the drain) Thanks in advance... Bill
PS. I did look at Bill Curlee's write up but still unsure.
The one that is usually the culprit is located on the firewall-passenger side. It's an L-shaped tube that protruds out from the firewall and then points downward. You can barely reach it with your fingers to pull it off. Usually when you get it off ...water pours out. If you can stick a piece of bent wire in the firewall opening you can remove some sludge or sometimes a little pellet of junk...The difficult part is getting the tube back on. Once I located the drain tube I initially cleared mine by using a friends lift...getting underneath the car and using a long extension from a vacuum cleaner on the end of a shop vac....Slipping the extension over the drain tube and vacumming out the junk...This a chronic problem on some C5's and the real problem is once your evap tank fills and overflows it drowns your blower motor first then drips down into your floorwell and on to your BCM causing a host of codes to be thrown and electrical problems....
Hi Bill, Click on the following link and read the thread, it is about your problem and has instructions and picts. If you need any further help PM me. I have a lift and it is easier to get to from underneath, but can be done from top.

I had no luck doing it from the top I may have to take you up on your offer. I got everything dry but not sure that it isn't still blocked up. I'm going to see if it's draining then I'll let you know . I just had a pacemaker put in and I'm limited on what I can do and jacking up the car isn't one of the Dr.'s instructions, also I can't raise my left arm above my shoulder. Thanks!!! Bill

Bill, No problem just give me a holler if you need to stop over. You are probably not more than a half hour away.
Good Luck
I started the car , let it run with the air on and windows down. There was a puddle in the driveway and drip marks from backing up. I'll try it for a few days to make sure that it doesn't leak inside. I hope that from playing with it and fishing a hose over the drain and blowing air in it it has cleared. I hope that it's ok but I still may contact you so I know for sure that it's clean. Thanks Bill.

Hi, no problem Bill, sounds like you cleared it, it doesn't take much to clear it. As long as water is flowing out of it, it's good.
Good Luck
