I am looking for the foglight bulbs that shine the white or blue light. I don't know if they are HID but I bought the SilverStar bulbs but that is not what I'm looking for. Can anyone point me in a vendors direction...Any Help???
I think what you want are HID's. Go to the auction site and seach for bulb type 880/881 HID lights. Color then is up to you...6000K is white with some blue in it. 8000K has a lot of blue color in it.
great info so far.... I'm really just looking for a bulb that will shine white not with the yellowish tint like the stock ones. The silverstars are not much different unless I got the wrong ones...I already have the HID headlights and am just looking to match the fogs....
Stop wasting money on the filament bulbs. Once HID bulbs are in and aimred properly (so you don't blind anyone), you will never go back again. Prepare to meet the future in night lighting the way it should be.
A True HID bulb kit will give you what you want. The 880/881 kits plug in just like the OEM bulbs. IMO 6000k is the color you want. Colors are somthing like this:
3000K: golden yellow
4300K: Warm white (most lumens output)
5000K: Pure White
6000K: Cool White (hint of blue) this is what i run
8000K: Ice White (lots of blue)

Can I install the 6000k cool white without over taxing the electrical system? and is it a direct replacement? Thanks ! Also how difficult is it to replace the fog-light bulbs?

I have Hella HID fogs --- If you're looking to just do a bulb change, you'll see "some" improvement --- but nothing beats true HIDS ---

Yes. True HID's run on less power. Again, if you're talking about just a bulb change, the wattage can tax your wiring. The OEM wiring was designed for OEM voltage... if you simply increase the watts necessary to operate a higher wattage bulb, yes. There will be additional heat.
True HID's (headlights) operate at 35W vs. 55W for OEM bulbs.
