Default Question on filling radiator

I'm installing electric water pump soon. I've found directions on how to LS1, but I'd like more detail.

Do you add coolent to the actual radiator, or the overflow tank?

Thanks for the info....

Overflow tank,

Run it until the tstat opens and top off to full hot.

cap it and run it for a few minutes.

If you get an air bubble, repeat after full cool down...

Peace
Chip

I could be wrong but I think you have to fill it through the coolant tank.

I'm sure this sounds dumb, but how do you know if you have an air bubble? Thanks for the response

Hi, you check it again after the cooldown and if it is lower you had a bubble. It's a good Idea to check after a refill a few times in the following days anyway. One trick to help alleviate from getting bubbles is to keep the front of the car slightly elevated as on a small ramp or a couple af boards or even a slanted driveway, as you fill it.
Good Luck

You leave the cap off the tank when you first add coolent, then run till the T-stat opens correct. This way, the air can escape?

Hi, yes that is correct, you can leave the cap off untill the coolant starts to boil , quite a while without fear, when you get as much coolant in as possible to the fill line, cap it up and run for a few minutes and shut it down and let it cool, then check again in a bit.
Good Luck.
