I've always wished I could shift into 6th at WOT without worrying about breaking. A shorter 6th would be nice. The more power you make, the less gear you need in the rear. If you make enough power, a 2.73 would be nice. Depends on what you decide with going turbo. Just consider your end goals when making your selection.

eh i kinda like the top end, but acceleration is nice, ive hear 3:90 and 4:10 are an overkill for f/i

so ordered the stage 4 tranny from RPM, got the stronger output shaft, only upgrade i really did, he was suppose to call me back with prices on the 30 spine, and gear ratio, im really thinking 3:90, 4:10 just seems to much, any opinions

almost no difference between 3.90 and 4.10. I would go 3.90s if I were you, but I am not so I am going with 3.73s.

i have 4.10 in my heads,cam,ect.ect. 02.i guess i lost some top speed, but i gained some back by raising the rev limiter.i could care less if it will only 175 ish instead of 185 or what ever the top speed was.what ever the top speed is now,it sure gets there faster.the first three or four gears is about all one can use around here.

I say 3.73s are the happy medium.
