Default Exhaust Tips

Well, I got the exhaust bug. Stock sound is just not cutting it any more. Just doesn't fit the looks and performance of these cars. I've been searching and researching and still haven't decided, except for one thing, whatever I get gotta have quad oval tips. Just goes so well with the tail lights on the C5's.

My question is does Borla still make the stinger cat back system with the quad oval tips? It's doesn't seem so from their web page. I'm also considering Corsa, but the same question there, do they offer quad oval tips? Again, it's not clear on their web page. Anybody have any good pics of their quad ovals?

Carlisle is right in my back yard. I was there last year specifically to look and hear the various exhaust systems, but wasn't really serious about buying at the time, so was only paying half-attention. Also, you'd have to stick around the install booths for quite a while to hear any amount of variety. I'm thinking of just waiting until Carlisle again this year. Can you buy at the manufacturer's booths, or do you hae to buy elsewhere and just have installs done there?

My vote is for GHL's.
Chip has a deal going right now for I believe $899 for the quad bullets.
What ever you decide, you are doing the right thing by hearing them in person. The clips are good, but not the same.
You should be able to hear plenty at Carlisle.
Good luck.

I don't like loud exhausts, but hated the look of the 1997-2000 stock exhaust tips (what tips!?).

So, I put on Corsa Hot Tips. Great quality, high polished, heavy, stainless steel (look like chrome).

If your looking for a good sound well made at a resonable price stainless steel exhaust system. Check out this install video and sound clip.
I put this on my car 2 months ago and really like them

If you just want a set of chrome tips that fit on 97/00 stock exhaust I've got a new set (200 miles) I'll let them go cheap.

I got my oval tips that slide right over the factory tips for my 2001, and I think they look great, ECKLER'S AUTO PARTS. check'em out online.

I have an 04 with stock oval tips now. I have no problem with the looks of the stock tips, although they are a little small and differently shaped than the tail lights. Those Corsa's in the pics above mimic the lights much better. Thanks for posting the pics.

I'm looking for a better sound mostly, but want to maintain the quad oval tip look. I looked at Borla and Corsa's websites again, and I think they do offer oval tips, it's just hard to tell from the pics there. The angle they are taken at it's hard to tell if they are oval or round.

One more question, I read somewhere about a plate in the Borla's that can be adjusted for different sounds, but can't find anything about that on their website. Anybody know anything about that?
