I have what may be called an 'extended upper forehead area' (bald) and sometimes, at a light, I know something moist hits my head. I just don't wanna know, ya know? It's just a small drop, probably dew off a tree, ya think?
I was driving home for lunch last year with the top off. I was passing a school and slowed way down. Approaching the school I noticed a squirrel running across the phone wire, but mostly I was paying attention to the kid in the neon green civic riding 6 inches off of my a$$. As I went under the wire, I caught, out of the corner of my eye, something drop. I looked over and the damn squirrel was sitting on my passenger seat, cussing me out in squirrel chatter. Pure reflex took over and I grabbed him by the scruff of the next and tossed him back out the top. I looked in my rear view mirror as he sailed majestically (just like a brick doesn't) over the back of my car to land on the hood of the Civic behind me. The kid slammed on his brakes and must have had a horrible "pull" to his brakes, because he turned in and bounced off the curb. The squirrel went flying again and landed safely on the grass, where he shook his head twice to clear it, and took off running again.
The kid stopped to check out his car, and I turned in to the school's circle drive and looped around so I could pull over behind him. I was trying not to laugh in his face, but it was funny. Luckily all he did was scrape his tire a little bit. I apologized for tossing wildlife at him. He said that's the last time he tailgates a Vette (he didn't see the squirrel fall into my car, I guess he assumes I carry a box of squirrels around with me).
