I can’t go a quarter mile without getting sand accumulating in the tail lights and license plate cavity. I have to get an air compressor to blow the sand off the butt and under the hood but I was wondering if a small spoiler like a carvaggio has helped anyone with this problem. I don’t want to put one on unless it will keep the sand off my butt. Another thing I was thinking about was flush mounting the tail lights but that wont help the license plate cavity.
You should look into the tail light seals or flush mount kits. I have the same thing happen just from driving after a day and I think it's a pretty common problem with vettes.
This location on our cars is annoying to keep up on. Actually the whole rear-end attracts much more dust/dirt/junk than any part of any car I've owned. Oh well, could be worse. I do use my air compressor on the rear after a drive before I use the detail spray.
I installed the kit to make the tail lights flush. At the sams time, I installed weather stripping around each light. No accumulation of water or grit now. YMMV
The fact is: that the more drag you put on the rear of your car, the more lift you are causing in the inches immediately after the bumper. If you install a spoiler, you will have MORE debris pulled upward on the car.
Oddly enough, mine is better with a wax change. I have used them all........found that Black Magic Wet Shine seems to hold less dust.
I was told (who knows) that it is related to the negative or positive charge left on the car's finish.

Save your money....Cuz nope, I had both on there...it just leaves a smaller area to accumulate the dust, but it still gets dusty.
Oh and the taillight seals didn't help my dreaded drip either
