A lot of people have been using the Peripheral Ipod2car adapter to get their Ipods to work...
My question.... I have read it only works with the CD changer (which I dont have!)... so I went to Best Buy to look at some kits and the guy said it would work but that my CD player would not work anymore....
Then he recommended the Harmon Kardon kit which I am not a huge fan of because it works through the FM transmitter although he said it was the same quality.....
So for us guys that dont have a CD changer what's the best choice for hooking up an Ipod??
best buy wanted $80 dollars to install this too by the way..... i'll see if i can find a good write up on how to install this or at least take out the radio... so any links to that would be much appreciated as well

Remove center console, Remove stereo surround, remove screw that hold the radio in, slide out, plug in new harness, plug IPOD2car into harness, run wires to desired location (glove box, cup holder or center console) Put back together.
I did a write up with pics on removing the center console etc. a while back. Search my threads. If you can't find it let me know and I'll forward the link.

Given the link that VV posted above, it is pretty straight forward. You will love the ipod2car in the Vette!
Like the others have said, iPod2car works great, and you don't need the CD Changer, in fact, if you do have a CD Changer you lose the function of the changer, not the in dash CD player.
The FM mod and a hard wired system are night and day when it comes to sound. As usual BB is just trying to sell stuff.
If you are just looking for a hook up with no head unit controls, then I would go with the AUX BOX. You can hook up any audio device to it and the sound is way better than FM Mod.
whats the best place to order the ipod2car from?? I have the sixth gen (newest) ipod classic and a lot of the ipod2car's I see say they only work for up to 5th generation ipods..... if anyone has a place let me hear it... or pm me

I'm not sure that's right. I think it may just be old listings. I've got the classic Ipod, my wife has the Itouch and my son has the nano and they all work in my car with the single unit. The only one I've found that won't work with it is the shuffle.
