I've been eyeing a couple of C6 Z51 shocks that's on sale at the parts 4 sale section I didn't pull the trigger yet because I didn't want to buy them if I won't be able to install them DIY. I installed my own sway bars and those are pretty simple. Now my question is. How hard are the shocks to install? And what's the ft/lbs of torque that I would need to tighten them. I got the tools just making sure I know the figures. Yes I did a search and it showed a lot of results which I kind off browsed thru and didn't find anything of what I'm about to do. A sticky would help greatly. Thanks!

It's a 3 out of 5 IMO. If you have 2 ppl --- it's easier.

I found the hardest part was compressing the shocks to remove/install --- other than that it was pretty straight forward.

It's a joke to install shocks. Should take ya a couple of hours on jackstands taking your time.

Shocks are easy money. Couple beers and an hour or two and you'll be done.

Just use tye wraps to keep the shocks compressed & they will just fall out after unbolting. If you can swap sway bars, you can swap shocks
