I'm "Brand New", to the Forum. I want to install my IPOD classic in my 02'Z06. I've been unable to find out where I can purchase the "interface unit", and "that" cool docking adapter I've seen mounted in the base of the cup holder..... Can anyone help????

Google or seach the forum for Ipod2car for the interface and spec dock for the ash tray docking station.

IPOD2CAR is the best route to take. The FM tuners work but it sucks to have to find channels it will work clearly on, its really bad on long trips. I use my interface everyday... PERFECT!!

I had all kinds of trouble with the FM tuner option both with my ipod and my sat radio. Here is my ipod all hooked up. I love this set up it is all i use now, i even took out my sat radio.
I did basically the same thing in my 2000 and I love it. I understand the newer version of the Drive and Play has Blue Tooth for a cell phone connection, but won't fit in the ash tray.
My ipod connection was a stock c5 radio with cassette player and tape adapter, plug into the headphone jack on the ipod and bingo, works great. I dont use the cd player anyway and I have it in my garage if I ever want to use it again. Cost me $35 for the radio from a forum member and $5 for the tape, sound quality is excellent
A different, and much less expensive, option posted by MonteHall for an iPod, but it works just as well for a SAT.......AND you get to KEEP your CD Changer working.
I just did this for a Sirius SAT radio and it works great. Rather than the mini plug socket in the OP, I wired up a stereo RCA cable and connected this directly to the SAT radio's audio output.
