Have been before never in a vette though, so this is my first time. Any tips other than clicking over to "Perf" and keeping this shiny side up? You guys run in competitive driving mode? Thanks.
Competitive mode is a must, or you won't get off the start line very well. Performance mode for the suspension is good too, then it's have at it. It's a lot of fun and you can toss the car around like a motorcycle and the shinny side stays up. You might lose it, but if the course is well planned out you shouldn't hit anything.

see you guys there--first time running in 2 years #133
As long as you're at a good autocross site, there's little danger of hitting anything when you spin out so you might as well learn to do it on you own with everything off so you'll be able to when you have to. Competative is better than normal, but it still gets in the way sometimes.

Add half a quart of oil,
Depending on what tires you are running you may find that adjusting air pressure will giveyou faster times....
If you have OEM wheels remove the center caps.... they have been known to fly off.

very cool! look forward to seeing you guys out there. You might want to come a little early as that's when most of us corvette guys run.
and I highly recommend more oil due to engine starvation, or at least check it and make sure your level is good.. My car is in the shop getting an engine swap because I made that mistake.

add the 1/2 quart of oil, a little over is no problem,..............the oil pump sucking none at a critical time in a corner is BAD news.
Turn the electronic crap off, the only way you will learn to control your car properly is to push it to the point of traction loss. Electronics come on hard and totally disrupt whatever you are trying to do with the quickest path to full control.
Have fun,.............the whole point to AutoCross is the bad *** experience of driving in a controlled manner as fast as you can,..........make mistakes and have fun. You will find others there that will give you pointers on the best way to do things.
