Default Can't clear P1432_H_C code for (busted) Fuel Level Sensor

I've read a few old threads and know that the H=historical, C=current.

also, that the P1432 is not cured with Techron/Seafoam...that the fix is to simply reset the code through the DIC.

somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Now, onto the problem: I try to reset this code as normal but it comes back instantly. Basically, it appears that I can't reset this one code. Has anyone else had this problem?

It seems to me I saw something in the shop manual that says some codes cannot be cleared in the DIC by resetting. They can only be cleared after so many ignition cycles, and it is automatic. I'll try to find that info.
