getting aligned when lowered

A little customer service goes a long way...
I lowered my car on stock bolts/bushings last year. It resulted in approx. a 5/8" drop in the front and 3/4" drop in the rear. That's what GM suggested when the Z06 debuted.
I went to the dealership for the alignment after driving it about 200 miles and noticing the change in drop had subsided.
The dealership had a drive on rack (elevated) and even with careful placement of 2x6 lumber, was afraid of damaging the front bumper fascia. They wisely elected not to push their luck and have to fix any resulting damage. I respect and appreciate that.
They suggested an independent alignment shop in town with an old fashioned type alignment rack. The rack is grade level and the tech goes into a pit to make adjustments. They're still used for trucks and SUVs and commercial vehicles. You might try to locate such an independent shop. They do lots of low profile performance vehicles for just this reason...

This is kind of like the "lowering tax"....You want the car that low, YOU have to make the compensations. In other words, YOU go out and get the necessary 2x10s, and fab up what YOU'LL need.
Before you get the impression that I'm some sarcastic SOB, I've been driving lowered cars for a LONG time, and that's what I had to do in order to get my cars aligned....and I did this years ago! The two front end shops that I deal with appreciate my situation, as well as my efforts to easily get my car on their racks. Secondly, once you make someramps for yourself, you own them for life....A one-time expense.

I'm surprised a Chevy or GMC dealership cannot accommodate one of their automobiles.

I had to have my car aligned in an "emergency" case while on a long road trip.
I was in Hancock Michigan at the time.
I contacted the Goodyear service center in Hancock and the owner told me to bring the car in.
He said that he would have to purchase boards to lay on the ramps of the alignment rack, and that he would have to charge me for the boards as he did not have any.
Long story a little shorter, they bought a 2X10, had it cut in half, and used those to get my car (02 Z06 lowered to stock limits) on the rack with no issues at all.
In addition, they even offered me the boards when I left, since I had paid for them - but I told them to keep them for the next lowered car that comes in
Oh - the total, for a four wheel computer alignment, including the board and them having to send a worker to a lumber yard to buy it, was $69.00.
I have a couple of 4 foot 2X10's that I use as ramps to get my snowblower in my truck that I had to use when a friends Z06 had the "service column lock" in my driveway - I used those to help get his car on the flatbed car-hauler.
I am not sure what the specific issue that someone would have, but the problem has been entirely solvable in all of the instances that I have been personally involved with.
best regards -
