Try taking it off auto. The damn thing has a mind of its own. In the winter I just pull the fuse.

Did you try checking for any codes in the DIC?
You can also try the standard practice: Pull fuse #27 in the passenger footwell. Leave it out for at least 60 seconds and reinstall. That will cause the HVAC controller to reset/recalibrate.

This answer is not meant to offend, did you read the owner's manual yet?

The electronic dual zone system is fairly automatic.

The manual system is quite different.

Use the mode button to cycle to a manual mode, for example when running with the top out/down set it to manual mode say body and feet and then set the desired temp say 75. It should cycle and set itself accordingly. Once the top is back on, press the auto button so it will return to normal operations.

Some more info:

A Typical Cold Weather Example:
Your vehicle has been parked outside overnight in cold
weather below 32F (0C) and you have set the
driver temperature at 73F (23C) and have selected
the AUTO mode. The system will automatically adjust
the temperature output to maximum heating. The fan
will start at a low speed. This is to avoid blowing cold
air into the vehicle. The length of the delay depends on
the amount of time since the engine was last started, the
outside temperature and the engine coolant temperature.
As the coolant warms up, the fan speed will gradually
increase. Air will flow to the floor with some air to
the windshield to prevent fogging under most
normal conditions.
As the interior of the vehicle warms up to your comfort
set temperature, the fan speed will decrease and the
temperature output may become cooler. If the interior
temperature continues to warm up due to heating from
the sun or outside temperature increases, the system
may switch to other air delivery modes (typically
DEFOG or BI-LEVEL).

Default Ac How TO

Hi, if you want the fan to run without the AC compressor on,(to bring in outside air at the temp set), if starting from the OFF position, press the mode button to what you prefer, such as face(upper vents), set the temp to what you prefer, such as 70, then press the fan button to the speed you want, set air delivery to outside air, if the AC button is lit press the AC button and turn it off. The settings will stay that way until you change it. In this mode you can change the temp settings, fan speed, outside or recirc, and mode, but if you change mode to defrost the AC will run, except if the outside temp is below 32, and you cannot have recirc in defrost mode. If you set the system manually, and leave it on when you shut off the engine, when you restart the HVAC system will start in the same settings as when you last ran the car, except for the defrost mode, if the car was off 40 minutes the system will start in the previous settings before the defrost was used. The Defrost mode is only controlled manually, putting the system in AUTO turns off Defrost.
Good Luck
