Interior Color Question
I have a 2003 ZO6 with torch red and black interior. I have seen this combo called mod red and black. Are these two reds the same or are they different?

It is stock. My build sheet calls it Torch Red . If you go to the Corvette Action Center and look it up they call it torch red also. See why I am confused?

Hi Don -
The two-tone black and red interior was referred to as modified-red, or mod-red for short.
The red color of the leather on the mod-red is torch red.

hello don. mod red it is. i am picking up an almost new 2004 Z this morning. torch red paint with the mod red interior. according to corvette action center stats only the torch red painted Zs got the mod red interior in '04. the fellow who bought my all black '03 lives near u somewhere. i love the mod red interior on a black car.. going to hook up with him in a few weeks . we could all meet somewhere maybe. i am in ocala. have a good day.

CORRECTION. i dont think my earlier post was correct about only torch red '04 Zs getting the mod red interior. looks like only 12% of Zs made that year got the mod red interior tho. i just dont see what % were torch red paint. there were 5,683 Zs made in 2004. mike central fla.

I can help you there - Zero percent got a totally torch red interior in 04.
For the complete model run, only black and modified-red were offered in a C5 Z06.

mqqn.thanx for the info on no ALL torch red.i think i knew that(?). i think i have only seen full torch red interiors on a few older coupes and a few convertibles.. anyway the Corvette action centers stats show that 5,683 Zs were built in '04.it shows the breakdown of how many cars were painted what color. 5.683 zo6s got only 2 diff.color interiors.88% got black,12% got mod red. that totals 100%. says 867 Zo6s where painted torch red(like mine). what it does NOT say and what my QUESTION is how many torch red Zs got the mod red interior. i wonder where those figures might be.in other words how rare-or not-what percentage is my car combo of the 2004 Zs? sorry for being a stickler for details.LOL...

So you have a black 03 z with mod red interior? Thats nice I love my all black but sometimes its nice to see some color. Don I would love to meet up with you some time. Im in clearwater at least once a week. But my car won't be done till wed (supercharger and cam install) so we can't meet up till then. I am also in that area alot with my best friend with an all black 05 ls2 gto. see ya Thanks mike

Have you ever been to Cars and Coffee? It is the 3rd Saturday of each month and it is at the Dupont Registry building on Ulmerton Road by Feather Sound. This months is this Saturday. It is from 7:00 a.m. to about 9:00 a. m. There is usually about 50 to 100 cars there of all makes. The have coffee and stuff available and it is neat event.. My son and I will be there.
