Traction control service indicator

My father in law has an '02 and he told me he keeps getting a service traction control message. He says it doesnt always stay on and goes away for no reason. Can anyone help me out with this?

He needs to pull the codes associated with that message as their are several thinigs that could cause that DIC message. Pull codes and post them.

I ask him to do that. I assume a auto zone, etc. can do that?

I agree that you need to pull the codes and see what comes up. There are many reasons this could come up, including bad ground, bad wheel speed sensors, a bad EBCM, bad battery, wrong size tires, etc. Post up what you find......
