Car Bras Help needed
GEtting ready for the ultimate road trip: Florida to Bowling Green and then to Asheville and some nice mountain side roads. I need to buy a front Bra to reduce exposure to rock chips, bugs etc. Looking for suggestions from the forum Z members to help make my choice. Thanks in advance. Jim

SPEED LINGERIE is thicker than any other vinyl bra available. It's saved my front end from rock chips and alligators. It's triple layered. It has a lifetime warranty. It's available in colors for regular C5 or Z06 cars. You can order one with or without a plate cutout. It uses a unique male/female tongue in groove mounting system that always keeps it taught to avoid wind abrasion which is one caveat of a car bra. Matching mirror covers are available.
Some will suggest a clear bra (clear 3M vinyl application) or a GM bra (inexpensive and snaps on). The SPEED LINGERIE and clear bra products are both about the same price ($500+) unless you're lucky enough to find a good used deal on a SPEED LINGERIE. Some will suggest a spandex material bra (very lightweight/thin) but it's more for bugs than rocks. Consider what you chose to use in comparison to a new paint job.
Everything has it's pros/cons...investigate fully any choice you make.

You might consider this CF members deal, even though it's not a color match (IMO, silver on blue wouldn't be any worse than black on any other color).
Make sure if you buy a used SPEED LINGERIE bra that you get the plastic fender brackets with the bra. Many sellers forget to include them. You can get them from the manufacturer though.

I have the same decision to make too. I will be going from Missouri to San Antonio TX soon. I called around to price the clear bra installation and it is pricey $500 to $600. I decided to go with this cheaper bra because I will only be using it for long trips
