Default Aux audio input for external devices ??

Hello, I am a newbie here, just bought an 04 convertible.

My question is, in my other car I have my Garmin Nuvi 660 hooked to my car audio system through an aux adapter. When plugged in, an aux choice shows up in my mode selector, and then I can listen to the MP3 player, directions and phone calls through my audio system.

How can I do this in my "new to me" 2004 C5 ?
I have the Bose sound system.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bill

If you have a cassette you can use that input.

Otherwise they sell an adapter that taps into the cd changer.

Post this in the audio section also,They might be able to help.
Good luck

Do you have a CD changer in the trunk ? If so, here is an inexpensive option

I did this. Pluged into the back of the factory radio. Dave was great to deal with. I believe you loose your cd changer on regular C5's. I have a Z06 so it did not have the changer. Don

So you plug this device into the factory harness and presumably have a lead coming from the back of the radio that you have to route to the front somehow?

Please explain?

Thanks!

Default Buy an FM Modulator

I installed an fm modulator in my C5 conv

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Audio...oductDetail.do

all in all it only cost me about $120 ($50 for part and $60 for installation )

I would have gotten a new stereo, but I have a convertible so didn't want any aftermarket stereo

Dave included the cables needed for a plug and play option. You plug one end in the factory harness and the other back into the radio. The other piece of the harness plugs into the adapter device. I ran these behind the radio. Then you have an rca jack cable from this device to whatever you want to listen to. I folded my cable in the ash tray so you do not even see it until you want to use it. For the best sound quaility and a direct connection look for the

GM AUX-10, and the COR-HAR cable from pie.net or logjam electronics.
