Another exhaust question

Is anybody running the Corsa or Mid America Motorworks exhaust without the x-pipe? Does it really make that much difference? I'm not looking to gain much extra horsepower. I'm mostly interested in better looks over the stock exhaust and I'm not sure if I want to cut my stock pipes. Thanks.

I just installed the Mid America Quadpower exhaust , but I also installed the X-Pipe. You can get the complete Mid America system for less the $1000. I love the sound and there is no drone at cruise. I am driving a 6 speed, and when I say cruise I am in 5th or 6th gear.

I have heard that the Mid America exhaust is made by Corsa. Does it have the reflective sound cancellation so there is no drone?

I have the Corsa Pace Car setup and the X-Pipe. Personally I think you need the X-Pipe to cut out the motorboat sound at idle and popping on decel.

Thanks, I may go with the x-pipe. It's unlikely that I would put the stock exhaust back on.

Nobody's running aftermarket exhaust without an x-pipe?

I just put the Mid America Quadpower exhasut on with there H pipe. I think it is an H pipe and not an X pipe? I heard there are differences that affect the sound and power between the X & H pipes

I love the sound, it is just right for me. I have an 04 Coupe with Auto. It is perfect at idle, nice rumble, awesome when you get on it and almost as quiet with the cruise on at 70 as the stock system.

Took me 2.5 years to make up my mind, but I am very happy.

Of course how we all "hear" things is different, you may hate them!
