Tire size experts????
I have put new wheels on my car 18 all around and have traction control problems
Front = 275/40/ 18 , wheels are 9.5
Rear = 295/35/18 wheels are 10.5
trac comes on because the backs are smaller than front , it looks like I have to go to 225/40/18 on the fronts to correct this , is this right?

Get yourself a 275/35/18. This will make the front smaller than the rear by about .4 inches.
When you go with the 275/40/18 your front is about .4 inches taller than the rear, which is bad.
Here is a link to show what I mean.

Hope that helps.

I would use this calculator to get your new tires the same diameter as the originals

I belive that with a programmer you can change the wheel sizes.

Would rather change the fronts, they are cheap tires and the backs are brand new. I used a calculator and to get the difference the same as stock, it was 225 , (1" differnce) , How close to that do I need to be to do away with the problem. And thanks a ton for the help.

front should be a 35, I run factory 18x9.5 all the way around. 275/35/18 and 275/40/189, no problems!
