04 vert what is it worth
Hello, looking for help on what a 2004 red vert with 30,000 miles on it is going for.

Unfair question, a lot depends on how well equiped it is, and what condition it is in.
With those miles, decently equiped, and in excellent condition, somewhere around 28K-29K.
A little more if it is fully loaded and mint.
A lot less if it isn't.

Kerbeck has an 04 Commemorative Edition vert with 9k miles for $32k.
I'd say a mag red, 30k miles, $29k.

You would buy it for 29k with 30k miles, no warranty? In today's market you would be in the minority.

$27 K would be my number
But I just saw an '04 CE vert 24K miles.
The ask was $35,450 .....
So what do I know?

There are some others like that in the for sale section. 27k is a good buy.

Having bought and sold 11 Vettes, I believe the price is what the buyer is willing to pay, as well as condition, color and season. If someone wants it badly enough, they'll pay.

Just looked on Kelley Blow Book. 2004 Convertible with 30K miles and no extras in southern California, excellent condition:
Trade In $29000
Retail (Dealer) $36440
If I was buying from private party I would offer something close to trade in value.

I found when I was looking for my C5 that most people that own vettes
think they are worth more than they really are. I found my best deals through dealers. Most are hurting right now (but many times they too look to what people are asking vs what the vehicle is worth to determine asking price).
Make a low offer and if not accepted, give them your number and tell them if they decide to negotiate give you a call. I've had 2 owners I made offers to call me since I've had the one bought. Look for someone in the Banking/Mortgage business or new car dealership that has a vette, as they may be a little more willing to negotiate.

And the people who think they are worth the least are the ones who don't own one and are looking to buy. Split the difference, you'll be pretty close.
