c5 skid bar
Have you check your skid bar lately?
I checked mine last week and found out it was so warned out
Called dealer found out it cost 400 dollars not including the labor of ripping it off and installing a new one.
Searched on E bay found a protector.. around 40 bucks.. Thank god..

Type in: Corvette c5 skid plate protector.. Last I check they had 5 available.. happy hunting...

You can also buy "wheels" for the skid bar, I think they are more effective. I put them on before I fixed my driveway. Now if I pull too close to a parking block, it just rides up onto it.

When I bought mine I thought about replacing it until I noticed the cost and all I had to do to remove it. I decided to sand it and repaint, looks much better. GM should have designed it such a way to make it easily replaceable.
