Default First time at the strip

Took 5 passes last night in 100 degree weather and a smoking hot track. Part bad conditions and first time at track jitters gave me less than I wanted. Hopefully these times go down dramatically next time I make it out. I launched around 2200-2500 with slight tire squeal each time. Spun 1st-2nd most times even though I told myself to ease in on the gas...iin the heat of action I must have still nailed it. I'm running on Vredesteins. Any feedback is appreciated.

Not bad runs for the heat! Get the 60' down 2 tenths and you will be running 12.60's.

I was really hoping that I just needed to work on the 60'. If that takes 1/2 second off I'll be I was mad I didn't get below 13, but I thought it was partly due to the heat and to the 60'.

Those aren't bad at all for 100 degree heat and the terrible 60 foot (sorry). I have tracked the difference...85 degree air to 49 degree air was 2.5 tenths for me. My buddy had a Trans Am... we both ran on the same days and both of our times dropped the same amount. With a better sixty foot and cold air..you are12.3-12.5 at least. Keep at it

My first run was in 95 degree weather and I ran a 13.01@116 with a 2.3 60'

Don't worry, it gets better as you gain more experience.

My first runs were also in the 12s and 13s, lol. Once i got a set of Drag radials, on my 5th pass the time in my Sig was had. So no worry, just get some practice in and use ranger's launch write up, as that's what I used for my Sig run, it works and that run still hold 7th place in the Fast list in sticky. there is a lot of info and insight that can be had from many by ready the sticky above on driving to fast ETs. good Luck
