Default Adhesive Gurus Needed Please....(Pics)

Problem:

I need to glue a restrictor plate to an air bridge that attaches to my Blower head unit of my C5. The restrictor sits inside the air filter (breather) mouth as sort of a pressure fit but unless it is attached permanently to the air bridge it will be pushed through into the air filter which does me no good.

In case you don't know what a restrictor does: It limits the amount of air entering the blower head unit thereby slightly decreasing the amount of maximum boost. It also causes the (centrifugal)blower to generate boost earlier in the in the RPM band, sort of like a (roots) type blower i.e. maggie.

Materials:

Trying to marry a piece of light weight aluminum to a piece of plastic (or whatever an air bridge is made of). I already tried Krazy Glue but it failed after 20 minutes.

I need something REALLY strong that doesn;t care what the two materials are made of.

(descriptive) Name of adhesive and where to buy is helpful.

I'm totally clueless about this type of stuff, Suggestions please

Peace folks,

Jason

Check at Lowe's or Home Depot, or similar store. In the adhesive(glue) section, are a number of two part epoxies. Made by 3M, Loctite, etc. They make them for a variety of materials. Just find the one that will work with both metal and plastic, and give it a try. Most will set(dry) in a few hours, and a few even in a 5 minutes.

Default Restrictor plate.

I drilled my plate on opposite sides and the air bridge and used ss safety wire to hold plate in place. Then air filter over restrictor plate air gridge and clamp. Never have to worry. When you want to remove cut wire remove it.
