I'm going in for install next week. The installer said that it 'tends to make exisiting blemishes more noticeable'. For those that have had it put on, how true is that statement? My car is VERY clean but it's not perfect..
You may want to take your car in at let the installer look at it and get his opinion. If he has done very many, he can probably tell you if it will look bad or not. I had one or two marks on mine and don't seem to notice that they show up any worse. I had the venture shield product put on and am happy so far. Good luck.
I've had it on three Yukon/Suburbans and my 99 mag red vert. If your car is normally polished and shines you will see no difference. Good luck on your install as the C5 is probably the most dificult to install. I let my installer have it for a few days to do it and install a CLB. You may have to go back in a week or so to get small bubbles taken care of- no big deal.
I had a clear bra installed on my Tacoma and I didn't notice any difference. There were a couple of air bubbles that caused some concern but the installer said would go away on their own in a couple of months which they did. All in all definitely worth the investment.
If the chips are pretty bad... as in large, then thew will defiantely show through the film. I do not think they will look worse... I have covered up quite a few chips with film and have never seen any look worse. But I always recommend to customers to get them filled in first if possible.
