Have a friend with these codes P0171 and P0174 bank 1 and 2 too lean.
Does anyone have any ideas? The car is also exhibiting a slight pulsing rise and drop in RPM's at idle.
I had the exact same thing this spring. It was a vaccuum leak at the throttle body. Passenger side, just above the rocker cover (under the fuel rail cover) PCV hose had a hole in it at a 90 degree bend. GM wanted $400.00 for the "hose assembly" (they have been known to go bad) I fixed it for $2.00 with a piece of 3/8 neoprene fuel hose in 30 seconds. good luck.
I agree with the vacuum leak. Use a can of carb cleaner and lightly spray around the base of the intake. that may reveal any vacuum leaks.
Thats where Id start. If its runing rough, I know GM has a bullitin out for those codes plus a p0300 for bad bank 1 o2 sensors.
Hope that helps.

Just to let everyone know the carb spray located a leak in the intake gasket right in front. This is being replaced on Monday.I am also having the manifold checked for warpage.
Cool! Glad you found it! I know theres a bullitin for the trucks for manifold warpage - havent seen one for the cars - yet.
Im sure it will be fine - probably bad gaskets.
Keep us posted!
