tested my active handling
I tested out my active handling in an empty large parking lot 1999 stock coupe.35 MPH wet surface, cut wheel hard left back end comes out so i stayed on the gas and the a.h. kicks in and brings the rear back a little to the left side maybe a foot out and then it whipped right back to center never lifting my foot off the accelerator.What a marvelous piece of engineering.a tip of the cap to all who helped engineer active handling into our great car.

The active handling on the '99 I had saved my butt a few times. It is a very 
feature to have.

I can't remember if you can turn off the active handleing in a '99, but I turned mine off in a large empty lot and man, what a difference. Dry and flat and with about 1/4 throttle, dropped the clutch in 2nd from a standing start and was spinning 1180's and smoking the tires in a second flat. Played a little more with it and was soon doing 30mph and spinning happily. Reminded me of the '68 I used to drive. But of course you couldn't control that without a lot of skill.
I'm so glad we have the active handeling even if it does let everyone drive like a pro!
