Hey all, got a shock the other Day . My pressures weere reading a little low especially my right rear tire. So, i stopped to even them out and guess what? there is something in my right rear valve stem and it wont let me add any air .Almost like a O' ring or something sticking out around the valve part in the stem. Any idea what this is?
Thanks
Chris
Yes, I had the same thing happen on all four wheels. It is the o-ring from the top of your valve stem caps. Just pry it out with the tip of a knife or other sharp tool and you're good to go.
Thanks duckvett scared the whoowhoo, out of me thinking that the pressure sensor was gonna have a o' ring blow out and it would be sitting on the ground.
Thanks again for the quick response
Chris

It's a common problem with the chrome after market valve stem caps being sold in all the major Corvette catalogs. The o-ring gets stuck on the valve stem especially if you really crank the cap on (to stop sticky fingers). Just pop out the o-ring in the cap prior to screwing on to the valve stem.

Same thing happened to me. Once I removed the O-ring, air went right in the valve stem.
