Is this the recomended diff fluid if you have a chattering sound in the diff??

I have heard that the GM fluid for some reason is better.

That is what the dealer put in my '06. I had the rear end chatter and this is the "latest and greatest" according to GM.

GM has a 4 ounce bottle of additive, this is what stops chatter with the stock fluid.

It is GM additive "Goodwrench Limited Slip Differential Additive " #1052358
