Say you buy 4 tires (2 - 275's and 2 - 295's) to put on your Z and get them shipped to the house becuase you don't know where you will get them mounted. How do you get them to the tire shop and get them mounted?

Two trips .... two tires per trip.

Yeah but the tire place is about 35 miles away. If wouldn't have been able to get them in, that would have been the only other option I think.

You can't do that with a Smart Four-Two!

Unfortunately wifey is in Savannah on business. Just me and the dogs at the house until Friday afternoon. And they don't have any thumbs so they can't drive a stick.

You don't have any friends? My buddy/neighbor/co-worker runs the rubber for me in his little BMW 318ti, then gives me a ride to work. It's only 70 miles round trip, even if you give him $5 for gas you're still in good shape.

1 - Jack up Z and put on jackstands
2 - Take old wheels off Z
3 - Place old wheels and new tires in truck/SUV
4 - Drive truck/SUV to shop
5 - Get new tires mounted
6 - Drive back home
7 - Put new tires/wheels on Z
8 - Take Z off jack stands
9 - Drive Z like you stole it

most of my buddies live in downtown ATL. I know they would have helped if I needed it, but luckily they all 4 fit in the Z. So one more useful aspect of the Z. Fun to drive, holds at least 2 gallons of milk (one in either side of the trunk), and 4 ~stock tires....

Figure out in advance where you want to go to mount them and have them drop shipped there.

So your wife is here in Savannah? Got PICs? Back to the original topic. Fitting four tires in if they are just one size larger than stock seems impossible.

YEah I think if they had been 1 size larger they wouldn't have fit.

Maybe not for one trip to the tire shop, but for a long haul to Syracuse from Philly for an event it was well worth it. Definitely got better gas mileage than towing with a truck and trailer.

I put mine in the truck, transported and dropped them off, went home, got the vette and drove it to the tire shop to have them replaced.

I sort of cheated too - on a trailer behind my wife's Town Car!
