Norm,
I think the car is great looking. The only part I am having trouble is, is with the stars by the front brake vents. Although I see why you got them there is because of the theme on the car. I really like the interior and car color and what I saw of the engine. It looks great. I love it for a 9 out of 10

Mud flaps, too much red overkill in the interior. The carpet should be black IMHO.
Needs to be lowered.
But hey it's your car.

repaint the car black, lower it an inch, pick up some ccw wheels, cut the roof open to make it a vert....but leave the stars on the side
btw who cares! as long as you like it!

I appreciate your service to this country, and that you have dedicated your life to preserving our freedoms. One of those freedoms lets you do "that" to a Vette, and also allows me to say that I wouldn't ride in it with out a disguise (kidding, kinda) Enjoy your ride, I hope you take this in the spirit it was meant

I said it before and I'll say it again, mud flaps are for trucks!

Other than the super cheese mud flaps, and the fins on the front fenders (not sure if I like'em or really hate'em) your ride is sweet! Nice touch.

This thread has pretty much played out. It's intention was to solicit comments, and you guys came through a lot more than I expected. I received anything from it's great looking to being ripped real good, which I had expected.

I took the general consensus of comments and made a few changes of what I thought would enhance the looks of the car. I like it better now.

Yes, I know it's what I like that counts but someone else's perspective doesn't hurt. I truely appreciate ALL the comments.

Since Doug Doo Wop and Phillip50 turned me onto this forum, I'm hooked. My wife thinks I'm a nut case now. Oh well, she gets over it when we go for a ride in the country.

Thanks again.

Norm

At least you took all the comments well Norm and reacted to them in a mature way. Well done!

I am not sure about the stars on the side, the blue on the rotors and calipers or the mud flaps. The patriotic theme is somewhat there with all the red and blue, but you need more white. The little bit of white on the hood does not really tie it together, but be careful and don't go over board. Overall not bad, and the main thing is it is your car, if you like it that is all that really matters.

Could not have said it better myself. The most important part is the last line though.

The one thing I will say without a doubt - you are a real mensch! It takes a big man to put his pride and joy on display for everyone to see, and open himself up to comments.....and then not get upset when he receives less than positive comments. You sir - have my admiration and respect!

I wish you miles and miles of smiles with your car. Thank you also for the follow-up PM I received last night. 3 cheers for Norm!!
