You might want to talk to Ken Fichtner, a chevy dealer. He frequents this forum and sell GMPP warranty. I extended my warranty through him. Even if you don't buy from him I think he will answer your questions. But he is cheaper than any one I've ever found. Email him at kenfichtner@fichtnerchevrolet.com here's his phone number 406-628-4618
I got my original warranty from Ken, and if I extend it, he'll have my business too. It's actually not up for a while yet, but I wanted to throw this question of curiosity out there.
I would think it would start at the current mileage.
Obviously, check to be sure, and make sure you do it early enough. I'm not positive, but I think it needs to be done at least one month prior to expiring.
The time factor is also involved, and you do not mention when the extended warranty time is up.
Obviously, you want to renew at the last possible date.
I would think that everything starts over just as it does when you purchased the original plan. If you buy it early, you give up time and mileage.
