I know there have been several LED posts on here in the past and I have searched to find what I am looking for to no avail. Any help is appreciated here.
Several of you have put LED lights in the opening in the front quarter panels (brake cooling ducts I guess) that give the effect of light coming from the engine well. I want to do this with a red/orange "hot" LED to give the effect of a red hot engine. No idea as to what color to purchase, how many total lights, size of lights etc. I have someone who can do this, but I have to provide the lights. Anybody???
Secondly, I am putting an LED "strip" under the inside trunk lid (hidden) to illuminate the trunk well as well as the passenger compartment - it's a convertible. Where is the best place to purchase such a strip?
Any and all ideas or suggestions appreciated. I have seen some of these LED mods on here before and think they are pretty cool. Thanks!
Thanks so much. This board is a great source of information.
Still would like to hear from someone who put the LEDs in the front quarters/brake ducts. There were pics on here at one time but I can't find them now of course. I need to figure out exactly which light strip/bulb for that mod.

I wanted a subtle effect so I installed blue 3" LED strip in each gill.
It is installed so they come on when I turn on the marker lights/headlites. I also installed a rocker switch in the line under the dash with a light on the switch that glows when the switch is on. The gill lites can be turned off with this switch.
If you want a more powerful effect add more LED lites or consider neon.

Appreciate that. Do you have any pictures you could post? Where did you get your LED strip? Thanks!
